Steering committee

The Steering Committee is responsible for conducting NRP 53. It takes on primarily strategic responsibilities for the entire duration of the Programme. The Steering Committee’s tasks range from selecting the projects to be a part of the Programme (with the approval of the Research Council) to assuring that the research meets the quality standards set for all National Research Programmes by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
Charged with overall responsibility, the Steering Committee shapes the NRP, determining its profile and assuring the necessary continuity and coherence of all decision-making. It organizes and monitors research coordination and evaluates the progress of the research projects, the implementation activities of the individual projects and the NRP as a whole. The Steering Committee also evaluates the interim and final reports.
